Catering from babies to 12-year-olds, there is plenty to guarantee children, and their parents, an exciting, enjoyable and memorable time. Located at Unit 23 in Pennybridge Industrial Estate, “The Fun Factory” really does take the ‘concept of a ‘play-cafe’ to a fabulous new level that simply has to be seen to be believed.

Just walk into the welcoming reception and prepare to be amazed by the huge range of safe, soft and colourful play experiences that awaits your child or children inside.

Manageress Emma McCooke says: “It’s been a busy and successful year and we want to thank all our customers for their continued support over the past 12 months.

“We’ve found that The Fun Factory has lots of loyal customers who come to us regularly and who appreciate that we ensure their surroundings are clean, tidy, safe and up-to-date.

“We appreciate when our customers give us feedback and it’s their input that led us recently to add a junior ball pool for 2-4 year-olds and a new Action Zone with a climbing wall for the 5 years-plus play area.

“We also want parents to have an enjoyable experience so, when they come to The Fun Factory, they can relax in very comfortable surroundings and indulge themselves in some tasty treats and drinks”.

While parents chill out with a complementary newspaper, watch TV or have a chat, in one of two cafes, they can rest assured that the kids are having a ball! Five to 12-year-olds have their very own play zone featuring three super slides - free-fall, astra and spiral and a ball pit, plus there’s a walk-way which runs right through so parents can see exactly how their youngsters are getting on, should they wish.

There’s also a separate ‘sports court’ featuring soft play basketball and football which is popular with that older age group.

Younger children (aged two to five years) are just as well catered for and also have their own dedicated play area complete with medium climbing frame, trio of slides - soft, vortex and two lane bumpy slide, soft swing, soft play toys plus a pedal track, and ball pool.

And for the very young, there’s a highly colourful, padded area offering just the right recreational stimulation for 0 to two-year-olds.

The Fun Factory also caters for functions and now has three large themed party rooms complete with party thrones for the birthday child who can choose from two party packages, priced just £8.50 and £9.50 per child. Each party is fully hosted by a dedicated member of staff throughout its duration and, for example, £9.50pp package includes 1.5 hours of play time, complimentary face painting, choice of meal, dessert and juice, gift for the birthday boy or girl, party bag for each child and complimentary juice throughout the party.

Should your group be made up of 15 children or more, you also have the opportunity to book the entire ‘Factory’ from 6-8pm, Monday to Thursday evenings, for just £100 on top of your party package cost and private evening hire is also available for all types of special occasion celebrations including corporate events, wedding anniversaries and grown-up birthday parties. - What better way to keep the kids amused at family functions?
