Legacy Wealth/Ulster Cancer Foundation Titanic Ball

Singer Brian Kennedy thrilled hundreds of guests who thronged Titanic Belfast for the first charity gala ball to be held in the iconic new building marking the 100th anniversary of the world’s most famous ship.

The highly successful evening was hosted by Belfast company Legacy Wealth to raise funds for the Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF), Northern Ireland’s leading cancer charity.

The gala ball was the concept of Legacy Wealth Director Keith Liggett, from Ballymoney, who has already raised funds for UCF by running the New York marathon on his 40th birthday last November.

An auction and raffle alone raised £10,000 which will all go to help cancer patients across Northern Ireland.

One of the items guests were able to bid for at the auction was a fantastic three-hour supercar experience along the North Coast, thanks to Ballymoney-based Ecurie 25 NI. And the winner’s own car will be spruced up by TV’s Top Gear specialist valeting team, Total Perfection Valeting, also based in Ballymoney.

The glamorous event was compered by TV presenter Paul Clark and guests danced well into the night to the sound of one of Ireland’s top live bands, Electric Avenue.

Those who attended were welcomed to the building with the sound of harpist Joanna Byrne and traditional music group Tully. During the evening Irish dancing group Celtic Storm entertained with colourful and imaginative sets.
