Lissanoure Castle Estate Walk

Ballymoney Borough Council in association with the Bank of Ireland is pleased to announce the final walk in this summer’s Countryside Walks Programme.

A unique walking experience set within the grounds of this magnificent private estate comprising lakes and woodland, including a 600 year old castle.

Lissanoure, an exquisite location steeped in history, commands a unique setting to the west of the Antrim Glens, the original seat of Lord Macartney, the first British Ambassador to China.

This three-mile circular walk will be guided by the owner of the estate and offers walkers the opportunity to find out more about the history and natural attributes of Lissanoure.

The evening’s event will conclude with some light refreshments. Walkers should bring warm, waterproof clothing and walking boots.

Numbers are limited to 80 persons by pre-booked ticket on a first come basis.
