Local musicians tune up for Glasgowbury

A HOST of local musicians will be taking to the stage at the Glasgowbury Festival this year.

Mojo Fury, Aaron Shanley and John D’Arcy will all be performing at the annual festival, which has become a firm favourite in the Northern Ireland music calendar.

The full line-up for this year’s Glasgowbury Music Festival has now been announced and includes a whopping 51 acts spread across five stages.

Entering its 11th year, Glasgowbury has pulled out all the stops for its Sperrins spectacular and organisers are hopeful that there is something for everyone.

Festival organiser Paddy Glasgow said he was excited to be adding a new element to the festival.

“Comedy is something that we’ve been looking at introducing for a couple of years now and I’m excited to be able to offer that extra platform.

“Over the years we’ve tried to celebrate the best in new music and in recent years we’ve also welcomed elements of carnival and other forms of art and entertainment,” he said.

“So hopefully this will offer another platform to aspiring artists and have people smiling even more on the day.”

The comedy stage will be run in conjunction with Panic Dots.
