MacFest tickets

The organisers of MacFest have announced that tickets are now on sale for this year’s festival.

This is the second year for the charity festival and the line up keeps getting stronger and stronger. With some of the best new bands throughout the North, MacFest is starting to make waves in the festival circuit. With 20 acts performing over two stages including heavy weights such as: Swanee River, Triggerman, Furlo, Intermission and many others this year’s event plans to be one, not to be missed.

The festival is taking place on the 18th June at McMillan’s Farm, Ballymoney. Tickets are £15 each which includes camping and parking with all profits going to charity (CF Trust).

Treasure Hunt

STRANOCUM and District Community Association is holding a Treasure Hunt on Wednesday, June 1.

Cars will leave Roseyards Presbyterian Church from 7 p.m onwards.

The price for adults is £3 and £2 for Primary School children. The organisers are hoping for a good turn out.

Lavin dance

AN Old Time Supper Sance will be held in Lavin Orange Hall on Friday June 10. Dancing is from nine to late and music will be provided by Sam and Willie O’Neill. Everyone welcome.

Old time dance

THERE will be an Old Time Dance in the Royal British Legion Hall in Townhead Street in Ballymoney on Friday, June 3rd.

The dance will begin at 9pm and continue until late. Music will be by Don Rodgers and Allister Coyles.

Admission £6 including supper. Proceeds in aid of Ward 9, Altnagelvin Hospital.

Fancy dress party

A FARMERS and city slickers themed fancy dress party will take place on Friday 3 June, the night of the Ballymoney Show at Ballymoney United Football Club. Entry is just £3 and it will run from 9.30pm until 1am.

Fancy Dress is entirely optional but try not to be a Boring-Bertie! Rules apply to male or female: Farmer - Checkered shirt, wellys, braces, chords/denim, even a straw hat if you can find one!

City Slicker - Smart. suits, shirt and tie/bowtie, skirt and louse etc. Imagine a businessman/woman in the city!

Something a bit different to the usual St Trinians night, expect to hear all the current freshest tracks mixed with all those golden oldies!

Flute and Drum

tuition

Tuition in flute and drum continues at Garryduff Independent Orange Hall. The classes are each Thursday night and start at 8pm.

Students of all abilities or with no previous experience will be made most welcome. These classes are being supported financially by the Ulster Scots Agency.

Craiganee Accordion Band are offering Accordion and Drumming Tuition Classes in Ballinlea Orange Hall on a Monday night from 7 - 9pm.
