Magners to refresh Ballymoney and Moyle weekends with comedy

Magners Comedy Core is curated by Northern Ireland’s favourite cider, and two venues in the Ballymoney and Moyle areas are amongst those on board to host activities.

“By creating Magners Comedy Core we are taking humour to new heights across digital space, radio, live events and trade activity. Magners has always been in touch with its funny side and the new Magners Comedy Core encourages consumers to connect with theirs!”

The all-new Magners Comedy Core was officially launched with its first live gig featuring Tom Deacon at The Limelight - a taster of the A list live events to come in October, but in the meantime the following activities will bring some light refreshment and comedy into pubs and clubs across Northern Ireland.

Between now and October, Magners Fridays celebrates the start of each weekend with its complimentary pint offer. Each Friday, consumers who visit www.facebook.com/magnersciderni can earn the chance to claim a free Friday pint of Magners Irish Cider in their nearest participating outlet that evening.

And the fun just keeps coming…currently on tour is the Magners Comedy Cam - an impactful in-bar video booth that allows participants to share their favourite jokes with Magners, with the best lines being uploaded onto the local Magners Core Comedy Core Facebook page.

And that’s not all –the hilarious Magners Laughter Lines is also on tour, adding a whole new dimension to the old ‘Chinese Whispers’ party game! The Magners Comedy Core teams will guarantee a hilarious time when you meet them on their tour on Saturday 1 September when they visit Glenshesk, Ballycastle and Bush Tavern, Ballymoney, both at 10.30pm.

Consumers visiting participating off licences will also be enjoying the craic with a fantastic promotion with a chance of winning a prize trip for two to the New York Comedy Festival. The winner, drawn in September, will win return flights from Belfast to New York, three nights’ accommodation in a four star hotel, tickets to the top three shows during the New York Comedy Festival, dinner at a revolving rooftop restaurant, a helicopter ride over the city, and £500 spending money!
