Mayor welcomes American opera singer

A well known American singer visited Coleraine recently, and was treated to a Mayor’s Reception.

Dennis McNeill from California was in the area with his family visiting friends.

McNeill has played several leading roles with New York City Opera and performed with many of the nation’s opera companies, including the Met, San Francisco Opera and Los Angeles Opera.

On the musical theater stage he has played the role of “Mr Snow” in Carousel more than 140 times in four productions.

Mayor of Coleraine, councillor David Harding put on a special reception for Dennis and his family, who were thrilled with the hospitality.
