Mickey Marley’s Roundabout to raise funds for OLOL

Two of Co. Antrim’s finest recording stars Alastair Coyles and Steve Farlow have recorded Mickey Marley’s Roundabout as a duet which will feature children of Our Lady Of Lourdes High School Ballymoney in the chorus.

The single proceeds will go in aid of the school funds and buy a interactive white board for the school.

The song Mickey Marley’s Roundabout was a number one hit in 1983 for the Irish folk group Barnbrack and they hope to make it a major success this year again.

As many people already knows the story of the legend Mickey Marley, Mickey was a wee man who travelled the streets of Belfast in a horse drawn cart with his roundabout and gave the children a go for only a penny. Sadly the roundabout was burnt one day however the people of Belfast rallied around and bought Mickey a new one, much to his and the children’s delight.

So why not come hear the single on Friday, October 21 at 7.30pm in a Grand Country Show at Our Lady Of Lourdes High School, Ballymoney where Alastair Coyles, Steve Farlow and the pupils pay tribute to the legend and release of the new single.
