Minister Foster hails Tourism Ireland team

TOURISM Minister Arlene Foster visited the Coleraine office of Tourism Ireland, meeting staff and learning about how the office supports Tourism Ireland’s marketing activity around the world.

During her visit, the Minister thanked local staff for their important contribution to the drive to promote Northern Ireland as a tourism destination overseas.

Ms Foster said: “Tourism is a major driver of economic growth because it is an industry that benefits every community across Northern Ireland and helps sustain vital jobs. Northern Ireland has such a great story to tell, particularly in light of the hugely successful G8 summit, the World Police & Fire Games and the year-long programme of events in Londonderry, the first ever UK City of Culture.
