MLA Dobson praises Society

Mrs Dobson was making her comments as the society celebrated it 50th Anniversary.

She said: “The Horticultural Society has made a significant impact in Banbridge over its 50 year history.

“Year on year, society members , and indeed some who are no-longer with us, have achieved great successes and shown, to an incredibly high standard, their horticultural skills.

“I would especially like to commend those members who have recently received medals in recognition of their long service - their rewards are richly deserved.

“I wish the society and its members every success in their future and hope that, like their flowers, it continues to grow and flourish.”
