The old farmhouse was extended by Patton’s contractors to create a 36 bedroom unit which was officially opened in 1989 under the management of Matron Mrs Valerie Nicholl.

Since the initial ownership of Mr Frank McKenna, the Model Care Home has over the past 25 years operated under the management of Asbourne Homes, Southern Cross and is currently part of Four Seasons Health Care.
