Multi Talents at ‘The Model Integrated P S’

On Wednesday evening, Ballymoney Model Controlled Integrated Primary School rocked to the beat as parents and friends clapped, tapped and cheered their support for the participants in The Model Has Talent Show Night. More than forty children from Year 1 to Year 7 took part, displaying their talents – singing, dancing, playing musical instruments and telling jokes.

Mrs Arlene Murray opened the evening and welcomed the audience. The programme included a wide variety of acts with something to appeal to everyone’s taste. Music ranged from Rock, Pop and Rap to Traditional and Classical and was interspersed with the sharp wit of a line-up of stand-up comics. Dance acts, too, were diverse with ballet, modern and street dance influences. The street dancing provided a memorable spectacle!

Ballymoney Model has a long tradition of music and all the boys and girls performed with great enthusiasm and confidence. The evening drew to a close just too soon!

To conclude proceedings, Miss B Herron, Acting Principal, congratulated all those who took part for a wonderful evening’s entertainment. A vote of thanks was given to Mrs Jo Gibson and her team of play leaders from the ‘Helping Out Parents’ after school club, for organising this most successful event. Finally, Miss Herron thanked the audience for the generosity of their support and the encouragement they gave to the children. Funds raised, which were in excess of £400 will be used to provide materials for the Model’s HOP Club and to cover other running expenses.
