New Auction House for County Armagh

Following McAfee Auctions most successful sale of Fine Furnishings at Loughgall, McAfee Auctions have confirmed that they propose to hold four sales per annum of ‘Fine Furnishings’ in the former Old Court House premises at Main Street, Loughgall.

Commenting on the decision Gerry McAfee said ‘We have received so much encouragement not only from auction viewing and purchasers at last weeks sale, but also from vendors wishing to dispose of quality furnishings and have already obtained two part clearances for there next sale, scheduled for late November.

Approximately 250 viewers attended the five viewing sessions over the three days prior to the sale which was held by screen and catalogue at The Famous Grouse, Loughgall. Top price of the sale was £2,300 for a Superb Six Piece Satinwood Bedroom Suite, competitively bid out in the room by three bidders, in an evening that not only had a busy room, but also a large number of telephone bidders, throughout the evening and including four sets, and two room bidders fro a Superb Crystal Silver Mounted Claret Jug which realised £680.
