New clergy attend Larne Tuesday Group meeting

The October meeting of the Tuesday Group, chaired by Rev Dr Ivan Hull at Drumalis, heard from three ministers who have recently come to Larne.

Each of the clerics explained how they entered the ministry, where they came from and their first impressions of Larne.

The next event, arranged jointly between the Tuesday Group and Drumalis with the assistance of Larne Borough Council and Peace III funding, will be held at Drumalis on Wednesday, October 31, commencing at 7.30pm and is a play entitled: 1912 - A Hundred Years On.

The play is a deliberate attempt to present the contentious history of 1912 in a fair and balanced way. It is written by Philip Orr, a local historian, and Alan McGuckian, a Jesuit priest. The one-hour drama will be followed by facilitated discussion, after which refreshments will be provided. Tickets, for which there is no charge, are available only at Drumalis and the Tourist Information Centre and, as space is limited, admission will be on a ticket-only basis.
