Entitled ‘Not Just Cows’, the exhibition is taking place in The Eakin Gallery, Lisburn Road, Belfast, and officially opens on September 27 from 2pm to 5pm.

The exhibition runs until October 11 from 9.30am to 5.30pm.

Paul Bell is well known locally and across the globe for his strong cow paintings on colourful backgrounds, which are much sought after for their strong physical resemblance to their subject matter, both in aesthetic and analytical terms.

His passion to understand the internal make-up of his subject is ever present in the sculptural quality of his paintings.

This solo exhibition as the title suggests has taken on a new twist, within this exhibition Paul will show his skill and talent in a range of different subjects, and not just cows, which will appeal to a wide audience of people and also those existing buyers of his work who may well be interested in purchasing something different from a Paul Bell original cow painting - perhaps a Paul Bell original Zebra.

Paul said: “I am really excited to be exhibiting in Belfast, it’s been five years since my last solo show and I have spent that time working on new subjects.

“I’ve always loved painting cows and am extremely proud of where they have brought me in my painting career, but I am pleased to have the opportunity to show there is much more to me as an artist.”
