New principal at Balnamore PS

Mrs Wilson said: “I am extremely honoured to be joining the team at Balnamore Primary School.

She added: “I recognise the potential that the school has and we have a strong staff compliment this year. I firmly believe a school will thrive when it has the input of all stakeholders, staff, parents, governors and the local community.

“My goal is to place the school into the heart of the community and continue to make valuable links which will benefit our children.

“This is a strange time for all our community but I look forward to welcoming our children back into education and seeing them thrive in both their academic and social learning.

“As I do not live in the local area, I would welcome anyone from the community who wants to become involved in our school life to contact myself. I am looking forward to meeting so many new people and watching our school and pupils develop over time.

“I would like to wish that everyone in the community would stay safe during these very surreal times.”
