“The competition produced amazing creativity from the students and the judges were bowled over with the standard of skill given that the students are only in their first year of their studies.”

Students created characters from Alice in Wonderland, Somewhere over the Rainbow, Aladdin, The Jungle Book, Lion King, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Russell Brand, Willie Wonka, Grease, Lion King, Peter Pan, Last of the Mohicans, Edward Scissor Hands, Arnold Schwarzenegger, The Flinstones, Grinch 3, Batman, Medussa, The Snow Queen, Black Swan and Cinderella.

The competition was judged by three prominent hairdressers, Sarah McIntrye proprietor of the Boat House Salon and Julian Diarymple proprietor of The Sitting Room Salon and Seaneen Copeland.
