The Color Run takes place on Sunday 30 August and the NSPCC is the official charity partner for the event.

The children’s charity is now calling on people to take on the 5K challenge and don their white outfits at the starting line. Runners will then be doused in a rainbow of colours at every kilometre along the course and are guaranteed to be plastered head to toe in coloured paint by the end.

Catherine Nuttall, head of fundraising for NSPCC Northern Ireland said: “As the official charity partner for The Color Run 2015, we’d love you to join our team and help us raise over £250,000 to help us fight for every childhood.

“The Color Run is a fitness event for all levels, ages and backgrounds. So whether you are a casual walker or an Olympic athlete, the 5K course will be the most memorable and colourful run of your life! Sign up today and make your place count for vulnerable children across Northern Ireland.”

Money raised for the NSPCC through The Color Run could help to fund NSPCC services across the region including the charity’s ChildLine Schools Service, which aims to reach every primary school in Northern Ireland and ensure that children recognise abuse, understand how to protect themselves, and where to go for help if they need it.

Entrants can sign up for the race on the NSPCC website. There will be a registration fee of £15 and we ask that you raise £100. If you’ve already secured your own place in the run then you can still support the NSPCC. Why not run and raise as much sponsorship for the charity as you can?
