Olive Branch makes donation to NHS staff

A mental health charity from Mid Ulster has made a tasty donation to some of the frontline NHS workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Olive Branch charity took over 50 snack boxes to the ICU at the Nightingale Hospital in Belfast which were originally donated to The Olive Branch (RespectingMinds) Mental Health Charity for their clients by Ann-Marie Heggarty of Tesco in Magherafelt.

Leone Paul from The Olive Branch said: “The snack boxes contain bottled water, crisps, tea, chocolate etc and we thought perfect for the NHS frontline workers breaks as we are currently closed.

“The NHS staff at the Nightingale were absolutely delighted.

“I have to add that the nurses we met were incredibly positive in the face of this pandemic,” added Leone.

The Olive Branch, based at Rainey Street in Magherafelt, is currently closed but their information can still be accessed via their Facebook page.
