The retail brands asked customers to nominate their local store hero – the people going above and beyond to help their local communities during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Olivia, an integral part of the team in McCool’s SuperValu in Kells, was described by her customers as always upbeat and cheery every time you see her and is always at the centre of any fundraising activity the store takes on.

Congratulating Olivia, Peter said: ‘Olivia has worked in McCool’s SuperValu, Kells for the last three years. During this time she has become our Events Organiser and Charity Fundraising Champion, and has raised thousands for our charity Action Cancer, and other charities recently such as the Community Search and Rescue, raising a substantial amount for them over a two week period. She has the bubbliest personality and goes over and beyond for anyone, and our customers love to see her...maybe even hear her before they see her because of her infectious laugh! The local community get behind her for every event she organises, and she is never short of a few volunteers. Every store needs an Olivia!’
