Pigeon Festival announces line up

In addition to the line up of great blues, indie & country bands – Pigeon Field Music and Film Festival is delighted to announce the line up of multi award winning short films.

The Festival takes place on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th August at Leslie Hill Estate in Ballymoney and offers a great mix of bands, short films, food and Lavery’s Bar.

Those ticket holders who camp on Friday night will be treated to a fantastic evening with a barbeque, great music by The Hard Chargers, Sheeling and The Red Velvetines, followed by the ghostly short ‘The Ten Steps’ and a screening of ‘The Blair Witch Project’ in the woods, if they dare!

Friday night entertainment is exclusive to those ticket holders who camp for the night

Saturday entertainment sees the main stage and acoustic stage filled with multi talented bands (see poster attached – please publish) but we also have a fantastic line-up of the cream of Irish short films from the past 15 years. For those of you new to the experience of short films this a rare opportunity to see the art form at its very best.

The screenings include the World Premiere of ‘Dave and David’ by award winning Belfast film-maker - Nigel Bristow which features Pauline McLynn (Mrs Doyle in ‘Father Ted’) and Tracey Ann Oberman (Chrissie Watts in ‘Eastenders’).

Period classic films will be screened in the Bellbarn walk through screening area.

Entrants to the TWO MINUTE MAX film competition, sponsored by Ballymoney Borough Council, will have the chance to have their films screened at the Dutch Barn Cinema in the farmyard. The films will be judged by a panel of prestigious film-makers from Northern Ireland and the winner will be announced on the day.

Full line-up to be announced next week with the launch of the Festival Programme. The organisers reserve the right to reorganise times, venues, running schedules throughout the festival as seems appropriate.
