Planetlove festival set to return to Shane’s Castle in September

THE organisers of the Planetlove dance music festival have announced that it is set to return to Shane’s Castle in Antrim.

Now in its 13th year, this year’s event is set to take place at Shane’s Castle on Saturday, September 10.

It will run from 2pm to 1am and will once again play host to some of electronic music’s leading exponents, as well as multi-arenas, a festival village, licensed bars and huge fun fair.

As requested by thousands of fans via social networking site Facebook, the award-winning festival makes a return to what followers affectionately term its “spiritual home”, using the original Planetlove WKD Shane’s Castle site that revellers enjoyed from 2002 to 2006.

Cut price early bird tickets, priced at only £32.50, plus postage and packaging, are on sale now at www.planetlovemusic.com/shop

Debs Carter, Marketing Director for Beverage Brands, says: “WKD is thrilled to be headline sponsor of the Planetlove Festival for a sixth time and we’re proud to have such strong links with dance music in Northern Ireland.

“The festival is always tremendous and we’re expecting this year’s to be better than ever!

“Our continued association with Planetlove means that interest in the WKD brand in Northern Ireland is set to reach new heights in 2011.”

The multi-arena spectacular has been running since 1998, first held on the banks of Lough Neagh, before moving to Nutts Corner from 1999 to 2001, Shane’s Castle from 2002 to 2009, and Belfast’s King’s Hall Showgrounds in 2010.

The festival has been responsible for b ringing some of electronic music’s principal superstars to Northern Ireland including artists like the world’s Number 1 DJ Armin van Buuren, Dutch phenomenon Tiësto, multi-million record selling band Faithless, German DJing icon Paul van Dyk, Run DMC’s Rev Run, chart-toppers Chicane, and the legendary Fatboy Slim amongst others.

In total, over 900 DJs and live acts have performed to 100,000 people in the festival’s 13 year career!

Full line-up and festival details will be released on www.planetlovemusic.com and the official Planetlove Facebook page over the coming days and weeks.
