Police notes

Police are making enquiries relating to graffiti which was written in black spray paint on Quay Road, Ballycastle. The graffiti, which constitutes criminal damage, was reported to police on Sunday 29 November.

Police arrested a 43 year old man in Dervock on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a weapon with a blade or point and threats to kill following an incident at a public house in Bushmills on the evening of Saturday 29 November. The man who was arrested has been released on bail until 17 December.

Police received a report that a garden shed at a house in the Bellisk Drive area has been broken into over the previous 7-10 days. A carbon fibre Boardman Lady’s Racer bicycle, a strimmer and a leaf blower were reported stolen.

Police are investigating a burglary in Belmont Park, Rasharkin, which happened on the morning of Monday 24 November. A sum of cash was taken from the house after the kitchen and the living room were rummaged through.

Police arrested a 38 year old man on suspicion of criminal damage and assault following an attack on a house in Cloughmills on the evening of Tuesday 27 November. A nearby report of criminal damage on the same evening was made and a link between both incidents is being investigated.

Police arrested a 20 year old man on suspicion of vehicle interference after a report that a man had broken into a shed in the Kilraughts Road area of Ballymoney on Thursday 29 November. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident.

Police arrested a man aged 67 on suspicion of driving whilst unfit after he was stopped on Townhead Street on Saturday 29 November. He was later charged by officers with the same offence.

Police arrested a 17 year old male on suspicion of criminal damage and assault on police after he had been reported missing and located by police. The arrest came in the early hours of Sunday 30 November as officers attempted to talk to the man and explain that he had been reported missing. He has since been released on police bail.
