Put a brew on for the Hospice

MISS NI Tiffany Brien has teamed up with the NI Hospice to encourage people to register for the charity’s ‘Big Coffee Morning’ next month.

This year the Glengormley-based charity is celebrating the 20th birthday of the annual Coffee Morning and as one of the local charity’s biggest fundraising events, it is keen to make it the biggest and best to date by encouraging as many people to take a break for hospice on the September 20 event.

Tiffany said: “I am delighted to continue the legacy as ambassador for Northern Ireland Hospice and have been inspired by the amazing work which the charity does in the local community.

“I would encourage everyone in Newtownabbey to take a break this September and raise money for local Hospice services. Something so simple as a coffee party can raise £30, enough money to provide an hour of specialist nursing care for a patient being cared for at home. It’s all about taking small steps to make a big difference.’’

Taking part could not be easier and everyone who registers a coffee party with Northern Ireland Hospice will receive everything they need to host the perfect party including a supply of complimentary Bewley’s coffee.

Posters, invite cards, collection boxes and ideas for making the most of the occasion will also be supplied in every fundraising pack. All you will need to do is brew the coffee, invite some friends and collect a £2 donation for every cup poured.

To register and receive your free supply of Bewley’s coffee and a fundraising pack call 90777123 or go to www.nihospice.org.
