Now in its seventh year, the popular competition offers local quiz buffs the opportunity to compete for the coveted title of McCoy’s NI Pub Quiz Champions 2016 as well as winning a flavoursome £1000 first prize.

As part of the McCoy’s ‘When Flavour Calls’ campaign, this year’s quiz has been given a little added twist of flavour in that, for the first time, teams are being asked to register their interest via the McCoy’s NI Facebook page or at www.duffyrafferty.com/mccoysni

Due to the change in the application process this year the quiz is now open to a wider audience so the lesser known pub quiz teams now have the potential of taking home the big prize and reigning as McCoy’s NI Pub Quiz champions.

McCoy’s NI Business Account Manager Ricky Watts, said: “We are excited to shake the McCoy’s NI Pub Quiz up this year and invite anyone and everyone to register to come and have a go at winning the title.

“Every year we are welcomed with enthusiasm, passion and outstanding talent so we cannot wait to see the competition this year.”

U105FM and popular drive-time presenter Johnny Hero is excited to revisit his role as Quiz Master at the Grand Final: “The McCoy’s NI Pub Quiz gets better and better every year with its standard of talent and I hope this year we see even more people entering.

“The McCoy’s NI Pub Quiz is a fantastic night out with great people from all across Northern Ireland coming together to battle it out for the title and the £1000 prize.”
