Sandra’s ‘Pizzasaurus’ dish roars onto the menu at Fratelli

SANDRA Scott from Rathkenny has been celebrating this week, after winning a competition to create a pizza for the ‘Little Boars’ kids’ menu at the newly opened Fratelli Italian family restaurant at Galgorm Resort & Spa.

Sandra created ‘Pizzasaurus’ using sweetcorn, green and red peppers, cheese, chicken and special dinosaur shaped ham. Sandra designed the dish to entice her son Samuel (5), who doesn’t like pizza but loves dinosaurs, to tuck into the Italian favourite. Since introducing him to the special dinosaur dish, Samuel has grown very fond of pizza and this inspired Sandra to create ‘Pizzasaurus’ for the Fratelli competition.

Her combination of ingredients and creativity wowed the judges and ‘Pizzasaurus’ will now be served on the ‘Little Boars’ menu at Fratelli.

As well as having her pizza on the menu, Sandra’s prize also includes a family party at Fratelli for 20 guests.

Sandra said: “I can’t believe I’ve won – it feels fantastic to have my pizza on the menu at Fratelli. The inspiration for Pizzasaurus comes from my kids – we’re always playing around with ingredients at home and I created the pizza using some of their favourite things.”

Colin Johnston, Assistant Operation Manager, added: “We had hundreds of fantastic entries in the competition but Sandra’s creation really stood out. We love the name and the ingredients and we’re sure that our young diners will enjoy tucking into their very own Pizzasaurus.”
