Second Annual Photographic Competition

Following on from the huge success of the first Photographic Competition kindly sponsored by Kevin McAuley Photography / Multimedia with superb entries throughout all the classes the NI Texel Club launch the second annual competition with entries open to absolutely anyone with a good photo graph which is set in a rural context.

In 2010 judging proved to be no mean feat as the photographs entered were of an exceptionally high calibre in all the classes. The overall winning picture came from the under 18 age group, taken by Aaron Hamilton, this picture was worthy of a winning place in the prestigious ‘Country File’ competition never mind the NI Texel Club! This exceptional photograph captured a flock following the tracks of a vehicle in snow. After the winter we had this year there is bound to be some spectacular photographs just waiting to be entered for the 2011 competition.

The competition is yet again open to all ages with classes for pedigree Texels and commercial Texel -cross sheep, in addition, this year, to an open class for ‘any rural setting’. Entries are very welcome any time between now and the 30th September 2011, giving all those wishing to enter plenty of time to capture that perfect shot. Entries will be accepted in both digital and conventional format. Those wishing to email their entries can do so to [email protected] while printed entries may be returned to 10 Ballyatwood Road, Ballywalter, Newtownards, BT22 2PA.
