Silver Shines at McAfee Sale

A private collection of silver ware, was the highlight at McAfee Auctions sale last Thursday night at a packed room and numerous telephone bidders fought it out for over 60 lots of solid silver, removed from 25 years of storage.

Top price for the silver lots was £1,300 for an early large two handled tray, £1,075 for a four piece solid silver tea service, another £925. An amazing private collection of Royal Crown Derby, again stored away for years also gained considerable interest, as did a collection of Waterford, ruby and gold sovereigns.
