Special discount train travel vouchers sent to 85,000 households

TRANSLINK has launched a ‘Try the Train’ campaign encouraging the public to use the new rail service between Derry~Londonderry and Coleraine.

Around 85,000 households situated close to the railway line between Ballymena and Derry~Londonderry have been sent a new Londonderry Railway Line Timetable along with a 50 per cent off day return ticket voucher* to ‘Try the Train’.

Timetables are also available from main Translink stations and online at www.translink.co.uk.

Meanwhile, Translink is also urging the public to always remain safe and vigilant when near railway tracks. For reasons of safety, CCTV is in operation at stations, railway crossings and on all trains.

These monitor inappropriate behaviour and, in an effort to keep everyone safe, Translink will prosecute anyone caught damaging property, trespassing or endangering others.
