Specsavers keep an eye out for the most ‘spec’tacular spooktacles’

COLERAINE Specsavers is sponsoring the borough’s Halloween Happening and is asking visitors to put on their spookiest specs for the event.

It’s the fourth year in a row that the town centre store has sponsored the event, which takes place at Rugby Avenue on Wednesday, October 31 from 7pm.

In addition to the spooky treats already on offer and the fantastic fancy dress competition, the store wants to ‘spook’ things up even more by offering a prize to the person who designs and wears the most ‘Spec’tacular ‘Spooktacles’ on the night.

Judith Ball, store director of Specsavers Coleraine says: “We are absolutely delighted to be onboard as the official sponsor of the borough’s Halloween festivities for the fourth year running.

“Every year we focus on searching for the most ‘eye’ catching costume in the fancy dress competition, but this year we wanted to add an extra thrill to the event by offering a prize for the spookiest spectacles.

“We can’t wait to see the variety of costumes in this years fancy dress competition, and we’re even more excited to see what type of designs people come up with for their glasses! Judges will be looking for the spookiest and most creative design on the night.

“The Specsavers hearing centre ear will even be dressed to impress with a costume of his own so don’t forget to come and say hello and show off your scary designs.”
