Talented Morris all set forAtlantic Bar

A PERFORMER described as “extraordinary, ludicrously youthful and absurdly talented” will be playing in Portrush this Saturday night.

Elliot Morris is a young guitarist and singer/songwriter prominent in the UK music scene. He is known for his “unorthodox” style of percussive guitar and he’ll be playing at the Atlantic Bar this Saturday, April 13.

Morris was profiled on ‘BBC Introducing’ back in 2010.

He cited Frank Turner, John Martyn, John Mayer and Eric Roche as influences.

In fact, it was the latter who turned Elliot to his style of percussive guitar playing.

He tells: “My guitar teacher Andy Taylor showed me an Eric Roche DVD and from then on I knew that is what I wanted to do.”

Morris has played at the Cambridge Folk Festival for the past three years and his fan base is constantly growing.

Catch him this Saturday at the Atlantic Bar and Louge. Admission is FREE and there’s plenty of drinks promotions.
