When I get some spare time from family and work commitments, I like to play golf at the weekends and maybe pop into the gym once or twice a week.

I also cheer on Manchester United as well as the mighty Saintfield United.

Describe your personal style

I would say I’m a smart/casual guy.

I love a pair of smart jeans or chinos with a shirt and sweater or blazer.

I would always go for brogue shoes unless wearing a suit, when it would be oxfords.

Where do you get your style inspiration from?

It definitely comes from television. However, a great perk of modelling for ACA is wearing clothes that have been selected by a personal stylist specifically for me.

What was the first item of clothing you ever bought for yourself?

Ha, ha, this is taking me back - probably to the 80’s!

I was heavily influenced by music, as all teenagers are.

For me it was Aerosmith, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi to mention a few and that’s where I took my dress style from.

I can remember tie dye T-shirts, bleached, ripped skin tight jeans and cowboy boots.

Any fashion teenage faux-pas you’d care to tell us about...?

There are probably far too many to recall.

As I have already said the glam rocker look wasn’t great, but to top it off, the long hair I had, which at one point I got permed, yeah that was a faux-pas alright!

What’s the most expensive thing you’ve ever bought, clothing-wise?

I like shopping in the sales and looking for a bargain, however I do like my business attire to be of good quality.

My work suits are Eduard Dressler.

They would be the most expensive items in my wardrobe.

Tell us about the oldest item in your wardrobe, or the thing you’ll never, ever throw out

This one is quite easy. I got a t-shirt for doing a bungy jump in New Zealand in 1997.

It also happened to be that I was wearing this same t-shirt at the birth of my eldest, which then became a tradition.

I have it safely tucked away at the back of my wardrobe and will never part with it.

What are your fashion pet hates?

It’s always shoes for me.

When wearing a suit I like to use a pocket square to match the shirt.

I think a tie pin can also really smarten up appearance and I prefer shirts that need cuff links. I havetwo watches that I switch between also.

I would shop in Bogart in Belfast. I love their Eterna shirts and the smart clothing from Brax.

JJ Donnelly in Ballynahinch is also great.

Gavin is super helpful, and has a great range from Cavani amongst others.

The various clothing stores in Victoria Square are all great and I’ve picked up some lovely items there.

What’s your desert island item of clothing?

It would have to be my super cosy Star Wars pyjamas.
