A. Any of the cheesy 80’s ‘toones’, it’s the best decade of music or I enjoy Josh Groban, Ella Fitzgerald and Alison Moyet.

Q. What is your favourite film?

A. My favourite film is A time to Kill – it really makes you think - or The Shawshank Redemption. I am also going to sneak in the Great Escape, Big Country or The Magnificent Seven for their soundtracks and you ‘gotta love a cowboy’!

Q. What is your favourite piece of classical music?

A. Clair de Lune by Debussy – it is simply beautiful.

Q. Who is your favourite artist (eg Van Gogh)?

A. I am not an art buff so I’ll go for Banksy.

Q. What is your favourite play?

A. The Scottish one probably – I watched it on video, (starring Ian McKellen and Judi Dench) back in the day and remember thinking “that’s not too bad”. I think I fancied myself as one of the witches!

Q. What is your favourite musical?

A. There’s too many to list but I will go for Blood Brothers. I remember sitting in the Grand Opera House in Belfast many years ago watching this and I cried, the first time I cried at a musical, and it still gets me.

Q. What is your most special moment in the arts?

A. Watching the cast from LMS perform their annual musical. When you start the rehearsal journey with them and go through the highs, lows, laughs, tears and tantrums and arrive at opening night with a very high standard of performance, I just think how blessed we are to have such a dedicated and talented bunch of local people, who become your extended musical theatre family.

Q. What ‘classic’ just doesn’t do it for you?

A. None spring to mind but I think if a film is a already a classic then it doesn’t need a remake.

Q. What do you plan to read/watch/listen to/revisit during the Coronavirus period?

A. I read this recently “Where is it written that we need to be perpetually productive? We don’t need to feel guilty if we don’t compose a symphony or write a play in this pandemic. What’s wrong with doing nothing? What’s wrong with having a rest.” So I think I will pretend to do nothing whilst working down the post-it note of jobs to be done...
