Think Big... Think Tourism

The programme offered participants specialised support, including one-to-one mentoring and best practice for their business and is aimed at tourism-focused businesses in Coleraine.

Supported by the European Regional Development Fund under the Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland 2007 – 2013 the programme was delivered by Full Circle Management Solutions Ltd and has proved to be extremely successful.

Joe Kennedy from Causeway Cycle Hire, one of the 12 businesses on the programme said: “We were delighted to be offered a place on the Coleraine Borough Council Think BIG Think Tourism Programme.

“From our perspective, it was wonderful to be offered practical help to move our small business forward and it has given us the confidence to grow. “

Martin Clark, Economic Development Officer with Coleraine Borough Council, added ,“The Think BIG Think Tourism Programme highlights our commitment in the Council to support the tourism sector in Coleraine.

“Whilst the Irish Open proved a major success in drawing in large number of visitors to the area, our tourism providers need to step up to the plate to ensure that these visitors come back to Coleraine again and again and again. The Programme has enabled the participants to take an in-depth look at their business and to make changes to allow them to move forward”.
