Time to Talk with Andrew Dunlop
The 32-year-old previously worked for the Rural Development Council within the International Fund for Ireland distributing grant aid to organisations like the Jethro Centre.
Of his new post he said: “I’m just blown away by the place. It’s a really fantastic community organisation with a real passion for local people.”

Hide AdAndrew is originally from Armagh but now lives in Portadown. He used to be on the backroom staff of Loughgall FC and is involved with Portadown Elim.
What do you like doing on your day off?
If it’s a nice day there is only one option - straight onto the motorbike and head north. I love the panorama from Binevenagh viewpoint overlooking Magilligan. Just being on the cliff edge, seeing over the point, the water and over into Donegal, it takes my breath away every time. I’d then head down to Benone Beach and walk. Or simply watch the waves crash in. No matter what’s going on in life, that always puts a smile on my face and glad to be alive.
What would you do with a million pounds?
After clearing my own mortgage, my mother’s and maybe even my brother’s (if he behaves himself!) I would definitely travel the world for a while. There’s so much out there and we barely see the tip of the iceberg.
If you could visit any time in history, which would you chose and why?

Hide AdI’m a Christian, so I’d love to go back to the time of Jesus and ask him some questions. I often wonder what he would make of what has gone on in this wee country over the years (often in his name). I suspect the answer would leave us all challenged.
What is your dream holiday?
I’d love to visit India and experience the sheer chaos of the city streets and perhaps volunteer with the disadvantaged. My friend Cathy might be married in that part of the world soon, so a visit could happen yet.
Slob or clean freak? Why do you say that?
A little bit in between. I keep on top of the dishes and laundry but I usually put off the dusting/hoovering for longer than I should.
Your biggest fashion disaster?
When I was 18 and working in an office, I had a collection of gaudy ties featuring Homer from The Simpsons. At the time I thought it was funny and quirky, but now I shudder to even remember.
If you ruled the world what would you do first?

Hide AdI’d pass a law giving Liverpool FC a 30 point head start in the league every season. I haven’t seen them lift a league title since I was 10 years old so I’m getting a bit impatient.
If you were an animal what would you be and why?
Probably a dog. Dogs like human company but also their own space. This sums me up fairly well. They are often mild mannered and soft at heart but not afraid to bark when they sense a threat. Dogs are also fiercely loyal - so yes, definitely a dog.
What’s your favourite website?
You mean apart from www.jethrocentre.org? Well, in that case it would be skysports.com for my fix of football news.
