Top tips for finding the perfect jeans

We are all looking for the perfect pair of jeans and have wasted time, money and tears trying to find the right pair, but getting nowhere.

It’s so difficult because we have to confront what shape we are and not the shape we think we are.

Fairhill Shopping Centre will be helping in the mission to find the perfect pair of jeans by bringing the latest technology to Ballymena in the form of a 3D body scanner and body shaping event.

The ‘Jeanetics-It’s All In The Jeans’ is a free event that will take place on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22 from 1 pm to 5pm.

Customers can use the private scanner to get their individual measurements and then get advice on the best jeans style and size to suit their shape.

In preparation for its arrival, Fairhill’s style experts have top tips on what to look out for when searching for the perfect pair:

· The Right Fit: This is a fundamental point which may seem obvious, but it is where many women go wrong. Just because the latest trend is skinny, flared or cropped doesn’t mean they will automatically fit or suit you. Another point to remember is our body shape can change and the style we wore in our twenties doesn’t mean they will still suit us in our thirties.

· Less Stretch: We all know that denim by its very nature stretches, but this doesn’t mean we should choose a pair that is stretched within an inch of its life. The secret is to choose a pair that fits well without the need for too much stretch.

· Perfect Pockets: Keep an eye on the pockets as they can make a real difference in shaping your behind. A button down pocket will give a curvy J-Lo effect as they will ‘lift’, pocket seams that draw down into a point will give added definition and bigger pockets are also good for balancing.

More expert advice and various styles of jeans from Fairhill retailers including Miss Selfridge, River Island, Wallis, Next, New Look, Marks & Spencer, Debenhams and Clockwork Orange will be available to try on at the Jeanetics event.
