Traditional and rural craft workshops in Cloughmills

CLOUGHMILLS Community Action Team and Cloughmills Cultural and Historical Society are hosting a programme of Traditional Craft Workshops kicking off with a four week course in Basket Weaving.

Come and spend the day learning this traditional rural craft and make yourself a beautiful willow basket that will last for years and years!

It will be a fun and practical morning with expert tuition from Atlantic Crafts and all materials and tools will be provided.

This course has been designed to guide beginners step by step through each stage of the basket making process making it easy to understand. The course will begin on Wednesday 6th February from 10am – 12pm and will take place at the Cloughmills Orange Hall.

This is the beginning of a series of courses to include patchwork, baking, pottery and storytelling. The project is being funded by the International Fund for Ireland and will be managed by the Rural Development Council under their ‘Integrating Communities’ Programme.
