Try boating on the River Bann - Portrush Sea Cadets’ Diamond Jubilee Event

Portrush Sea Cadets are inviting young people to come a try a boat.

On Saturday 18th August, the Sea Cadets will have their boats and their cadets and instructors in Coleraine Marina at Cloonavin ready for you.

Registration starts at 10am with the opportunity to try all three boats used by Portrush Sea Cadets.

Two Trinity rowing boats, an ASC (Admiralty Sailing Craft) and two power boats will be available for a trial session. All the required training will be provided on the day to allow everyone regardless of previous boating experience to try some boating on the River Bann.

Portrush Sea Cadets are very grateful to Coleraine Borough Council for their funding towards running this event. As one of many Diamond Jubilee Events promoted by Coleraine Borough Council, Portrush Sea Cadets responded to the council’s invitation to host a Diamond Jubilee event and welcome everyone to experience the fun of safe boating on the River Bann.

Come along in the morning to try boating and in the afternoon “Xplore Outdoors” will be providing an introductory kayaking class. Portrush Sea Cadets are always looking for new cadets and instructors, why not come along and meet the current volunteers.

Registration Open 10am, Boating (Rowing and Power) starts 10.30am until 1pm and introduction to Canoeing 2pm – 5pm.
