Speedy tomato and broccoli macaroni cheese

Even non-cooks will be able to whip up this easy macaroni cheese.

It uses a cheat’s sauce and contains vegetables for added flavour.

SERVES: 4

PREP: 5 MINUTES

COOK: 20 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS:

250g Sainsbury’s macaroni

200g broccoli, cut into florets

350g tub three cheese sauce by Sainsbury’s

8 cherry tomatoes by Sainsbury’s, halved

50g mature British Cheddar by Sainsbury’s, grated

METHOD:

1 Bring a pan of water to the boil and add the macaroni and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the broccoli and cook for a further 5-7 minutes until the macaroni and broccoli are just tender.

2 Meanwhile, preheat the grill to high. Heat the cheese sauce in the microwave or in a saucepan, according to pack instructions.

Drain the macaroni and broccoli, mix with the warmed cheese sauce and tip into an ovenproof dish.

3 Scatter the halved tomatoes over the top and sprinkle over the grated Cheddar.

Place under the grill for five minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the tomatoes have softened. Divide between four plates and serve.

COOKS TIP:

Try adding some tinned or frozen sweetcorn for extra flavour.
