Car boot sale

Ballymoney United Football Club is running a weekly Indoor Car Boot Sale at The Showground’s, North Road, Ballymoney.

This is a great way of making some money from unwanted items or picking up a fantastic bargain while supporting your local team.

The event will take place from 9am to 1pm every Sunday with the gates open at 8.45am for sellers. Entrance is £5.00 for cars and £10.00 for vans. Come early to avoid disappointment.

Van pull

BIG-HEARTED posties in Ballymoney are hoping for a first-class response to their annual charity fund-raiser.

Top of the agenda is the van pull and street collection which will take place on Friday, September 7 and the following day. Traditionally, the public respond well to the postie volunteers whose efforts in previous years have raised thousands for Cancer Research N.I.

There will be a number of collection boxes placed around the town in shops and post offices into which customers are encouraged to donate their spare coins.

Walks programme

THE Causeway Coast & Glens Heritage Trust has launch its first guided walks programme.

The programme, which contains over 15 walks, runs until Sunday, October 7.

Thanks to the kind cooperation of many partners in the Causeway Coast & Glens including NIEA, Limavady, Ballymena, Moyle, Coleraine and Larne Councils, the National Trust, RSPB, the Glens Red Squirrel Group and local independent guides, the Trust has been able to compile an interesting and varied programme including nature and biodiversity walks, geology walks, history walks to name but a few.

The programme also features events to be hosted by various organisations for National Trails Day.

Copies of the walk programme are available in Tourist Information Centres and local Councils in the Causeway Coast & Glens and details can also be found on our website www.ccght.org

Piping classing

The Kingdom of Dalriada Ulster Scots Society is pleased to announce that Piping and Pipe drumming tuition classes have started again on Monday nights in the Ullans Centre from 7pm to 9pm.

New beginners are very welcome to attend, regardless of age or ability and the tuition is provided by world class musicians. All Tutors employed by the Kingdom of Dalriada Ulster Scots Society have been Access NI checked and approved.

Dance Classes

Scottish Ceilidh Dance Classes will be held in Ballinlea Orange Hall on Thurs 23rd & 30th August; Fri 7th, Thurs 13th, 20th & 27th September and Fri 5th, Thurs 11th, 18th & 25th October.

Organised by Craiganee Accordion Band, the classes run from 7.30 -9.30pm each night and are suitable for all ages. This activity has been made possible by the support of the Ulster-Scots Agency. Contact Jenny on 07899806503.
