Vehicle events

BALLYMONEY Old vehicle Club is holding a number of events over the next two months.

On Wednesday July 20 the Club have organised to Chairman’s Run from Riada Avenue at 7pm.

On Wednesday, July 27 there will be a static display and run of vintage motorcycles at Armoy Road Races from 6pm.

On Thursday, July 28 there will be a static display and run of vintage cars at Armoy Road Races from 6pm.

Finally on Wednesday, August 3 Clough Vintage Club will be holding a static display of motor cars and motorcyles in Clough from 6pm.

Stranocum dance

Stranocum and District Committee Association are holding a bbq and marque dance on Saturday, August 6 from 8pm.

The event will be held in Stranocum Hall and music will be provided by Solid Gold. Tickets are priced £12.50 and are available from local businesses and community members. For more information call 028 207 51676 or 028 207 41191.

Killyrammer Week

SEQUENCE & OLD TIME DANCE

Thursday 21st July from 8.30pm to 11.30pm in the community centre. Music by Liam McLaughlin. Admission is £4 to include a light supper.

FUN DAY

Saturday 23rd July from 1.30pm to 3.30pm in the community centre grounds. Fun dog show at 2pm with 6 categories judged by Catherine Daly. Horse shoe throwing, come along and give it a go. Free admission.

Library circus

BALLYMONEY Library is inviting children aged 4 to 11 to come along and join in the summertime circus spectacle that will keep them reading throughout the school summer holidays and enjoy the following free events held to celebrate the Summer Reading Challenge.

The library will stage the event every Thursday to the 25th from 3pm to 4pm Booking is essential.

Each year the Summer Reading Challenge is simple - children are encouraged to read six or more books of their choice during the holidays with collectable incentives and rewards.

This year, as children read their way through six books, they will help the Circus Stars progress through Practice and Rehearsal to their ultimate goal - Showtime!

Glebeside schemes

Glebeside Community Association will be holding two summer schemes this year for children aged between 6-14.

This year’s schemes will include sports, arts & crafts, dance music, cooking with Mrs Jean Thompson and also a couple of trips.

The schemes will be running to Friday 22nd July and Monday 25th July -Friday 29th July

Cost per child for the two weeks £15. Children in attendance are asked to bring their own lunch. Various snacks will be provided each day. Schemes will start at 10am and finish at 3pm. For more information contact the Community House 02827667624.
