Why not try volunteering for charity?

LOCAL mental health charity MindWise is constantly on the lookout for volunteers to help with our range of various programmes.

MindWise has over 80 people volunteering in their Active 8 programme, all of whom have added enormous value to the organisation and without their support many MindWise activities and events would not be possible.

Volunteers, as well as benefiting from free training, also get the opportunity to practice and develop new skills and to build their confidence and their experiences can also help them with their further study or employment prospects.

Another way that you can assist Mindwise is to donate or help raise money

MindWise is a charity, and like any other charity it relies on the goodwill and financial support of local people to help fund both their existing services and allow the charity to develop and pilot new ones.

You can donate online directly through the MindWise website or by sending a cheque made payable to MindWise New Vision to its Head Office

MindWise also operates a charity shop in Rathfriland Street, Banbridge.

The charity is always looking for donations of good quality items to sell in the shop including books, DVDs, clothing, bric a brac and toys
