1% of NI loutsrapped in city

JUST one per cent of fixed penalty notices issued to litter louts across Northern Ireland over the past three years were issued in Londonderry, it’s been revealed.

The Minister of the Environment Alex Attwood revealed just 116 fixed penalty were issued by Derry City Council for littering between 2009 and 2012.

This was just 1 per cent of 10k notices issued across Northern Ireland and miniscule compared with 3,189 notices issued in Craigavon.
