1,000 receiving meals on wheels
OVER 1000 people in the Western Trust area were receiving meals on wheels at the end of March, according to the Health Minister Edwin Poots.
Responding to an Assembly Question he revealed at total of 1,026 were in receipt of the service at March 31, 2011, the highest number of recipients outside Belfast (1,358).
He advised that the information included services provided by private contractors and information on the provision of frozen meals.
