1,481 out of work locally
The number of people registering as out of work in Ballymena saw a slight decrease last month, down 55.
According to the latest figures from the Department of Enterprise, the claimant count in the borough now stands at 1,481, compared to 1536 (April).
Wards within the borough registering the most claimant counts for unemployment in May were - Castle Demesne with 122 (118 the previous month), Ballykeel 115 (107 in April), Ballee 107 (122 in April) and Harryville 104 (109 April).
The area with the lowest claimant count in May was Slemish with 13 (down seven from the previous month).
