Dungiven murder victim is buried. There was an outpouring of grief in Dungiven on Sunday morning as the town came to a standstill for the funeral of a local man gunned down by sectarian killers. A large crowd of local people followed the coffin of murder victim Gary Moore, through the streets of the town while others lined the route. There is widespread anger and grief at the death of the 30-year-old builder who was killed by loyalists as he worked on a site in Monkstown outside Belfast on December 6.

Miracle escape. The Newbuildings taxi-driver shot by loyalists on Sunday remained ‘ill but stable’ in Altnagelvin Hospital last night. Father of five Graham Millar miraculously escaped death after being hit in the chest by a bullet, which missed his heart by millimetres.
