16-year-old assaulted by group

The incident happened around 8:30pm on Sunday October 3, when a crowd of approximately ten people approached and assaulted the teenager, close to a filling station in the town’s Dunhill Road.

It is understood that the boy suffered a broken nose and bruising to his face and body.

Two juveniles arrested in connection with the incident were later released on police bail pending further enquiries into the matter.
