Tourism Ireland in London invited journalist Cyan Turan, from Fabulous magazine, to visit last month. The resulting article appeared under the headline “The coast is clear” and featured lots of great photos – including of The Gobbins Coastal Path and the Dark Hedges. The author describes the “rugged shores, rolling glens, and some seriously impressive views” and says the Causeway Coastal Route is “one of the world’s top roadie routes”.

Vanessa Markey, Tourism Ireland’s head of Great Britain, said: “We are delighted with the extensive coverage in Fabulous magazine, which is an excellent way of showcasing the Causeway Coastal Route and Co Antrim to a large audience of potential GB holidaymakers. Publicity is an important element of our overall promotional programme, helping to raise awareness through the media in Great Britain of our spectacular scenery and the many things to see and do on a holiday in Northern Ireland. Britain is the largest market for tourism to Northern Ireland and Tourism Ireland has an extensive autumn campaign under way, to take advantage of late booking trends and continue to grow visitor numbers.”
