1st Derry hosts annual Parkinson’s carol service
In addition to traditional readings and carols an ensemble, drawn from the Hamilton Flute Band, played a selection of familiar festive melodies.
A highlight of the service was singing by the Holy Family Primary School choir, conducted by Mrs Claire Doherty.

Hide AdThe choir, who are winners of the prestigious Barnardo’s Choir of the Year, thrilled the congregation with their happy, inspirational singing.
The Carol service, which was organised by Jack Glenn NI Trustee Parkinson’s UK, was attended by Mayor Brenda Stevenson and also by the Deputy Mayor, Gary Middleton.
Reverend David Latimer was joined by Father Paddy O’Kane who concluded a truly memorable Christmas service with a Celtic blessing.
Refreshments were provided for everyone after the service.
