Tempest is part of the MRL Group (Menarys) who have gone into a Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) and are restructuring their company due to the current difficult economic climate.

Diamond Centre Manager, Gwyneth McQuiston said that she was saddened to hear the news of the imminent closure of Tempest “especially for all the staff who are affected and particularly at the height of the summer season when so many customers visit the centre”.

She added: “Tempest has been operating within the Diamond Centre for almost 12 years and the store will be missed.

“However as stated above, immediately on the heels of the bad news, three of the concessions have stated they will be remaining in Coleraine and that has to be welcomed.”

Gwyneth went on to reveal: “While we have this closure we are currently speaking to four other businesses who are keen to open within the Diamond Centre and one of them will be opening on August29 – Indian Threading & Beauty Bar - and we hope to bring further news on exciting openings.

Miss Selfridge, Exhibit and Quiz Clothing wish to thank all their customers for their ongoing support.
